KATE Gosselin is one
angry ex-wife!
The reality TV star is apparently icy cold with ex-husband Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend of eight months, Ellen Ross.
“Kate and Ellen are totally respectful of each other, but they just don’t speak,” a source explained.
“Each week for the custody switch, Jon and Ellen drive over to the house, pick up the kids and van and then leave with both cars, but Kate and Ellen haven’t needed to talk.
“It’s really the first normal relationship he’s ever had. She is honest and doesn’t go behind his back as he’s experienced in the past.
“Ellen has never officially met Kate. They have seen each other at court and during the custody switch each week but they haven’t exchanged words.
“The right time will come for them to talk but at least they have not said anything bad to each other.”
Recent reports claimed Kate — who raises eight kids with Jon — has developed a little crush on Sarah Palin’s husband Todd.
Gosselin met Todd when she teamed up with Sarah for her hit reality show Sarah Palin’s Alaska.
In the episode, Sarah teaches the mom of eight how to shoot, fish and hunt.
“Kate and Sarah didn’t get along very well, given that both are the kind of alpha females that demand authority and, let’s face it, attention,” a source told PopEater.
“Yet Kate and Todd Palin got along extremely well.
“Todd would be the perfect man for Kate. He does exactly what he’s told, is happy to stay home and look after the kids and is perfectly happy staying out of the spotlight. He’s the opposite of [Kate's ex-husband] Jon and it also doesn’t hurt that he is very good looking.
“Kate didn’t learn a thing about nature, but she did learn the importance of finding a perfect mate. No matter how pushy Sarah was, Todd adores her. Kate is now on the hunt for someone similar.”
Meanwhile, sources say Kate is becoming a lonely old bag.
“The truth is Kate is really sad and lonely with few true friends,” dished one insider.
“Even her kids have noticed that their mom is sometimes too tired to play with them when the cameras are not rolling.
“Her bodyguard Steve Neild is the closest person to her, but he’s married with two kids of his own.
“Steve lives in the basement of her home and he accompanies Kate everywhere, but they strongly deny that there is anything going on between them despite the fact that they have taken trips to Alaska and to Mexico together.
“Apart from Steve she does not have many true friends to confide in or just go out and have fun with while she does not have the best relationship with her family either.
“Kate’s neighbors don’t think greatly of her and she is not popular at the local stores, post office or car wash, because she cannot win people over and comes across as cold and aloof.
“Kate just finds it hard to be friendly towards people and is very domineering — at the moment she is pre-occupied with looking her best and keeping-up appearances.
“Kate’s life revolves around her kids and the reality show… when have you ever seen Kate photographed having fun on a girls’ night out?
“The paparazzi are camped outside her home a lot of the time and often she will just not go out which is sad for her kids too.
“Kate has money coming in but nobody to share it with — having her own reality show has come with a price for her but ultimately that was her own choice.”
